All of the above models in the Micro series are powerful hunting or sporting crossbows and require a quality bowstring and wrap, this bowstring is handmade with extreme attention to the quality of the materials used and precise meticulous handwork. As a result, you get a bowstring with maximum durability for consistent accurate shooting. This string can be used for up to 3,000 shots, however, every 400-500 shots or so the center wrap needs to be renewed if it becomes worn. This string is used by many times Czech National, European and Wold Crossbow Championships medalist. It is important to wax the bowstring regularly, especially the centre wrap and occasionally the lugs. For easy and quick replacement use Excalibur Stringer.
Each strand of the bowstring is still separately braided. The bowstring is a consumable, it must be lubricated as per the centre wrap. It is recommended to change the bowstring preventively every year or after about 3000 shots. It's a good idea to recheck and wax the bowstring every cca 20 shots, don't use anything other than genuine kuse.cz wax . If you use wax on the string serving and some other lubricant - like oil - on the rail, the wax and oil will mix, your srossbow scope lens will get dirty and the life of the bowstring will decrease, this is my personal experience. If you think that lubricating the rail with oil will give you a higher velocity, I can assure you that I have measured this velocity and the result is clear, there is no measurable difference in the velocity of the arrow shot, use only wax.
