The Cold Steel AXIS Machete 18" from COLD STEEL is a highly functional work tool, with excellent strength properties, designed for extreme conditions. The machete comes complete with a Cor-Ex™ sheath.
Cold Steel machetes are designed for sheer stress and chopping in any environment! The European style forward extending blade, gives the machete explosiveness when chopping. Moving the center of gravity forward makes the machete easier to chop, but it doesn't take away from its maneuverability when precise cuts are needed. The blade is made of 1055 carbon steel with an anti-corrosive black finish. Steel 1055 is a tool grade carbon steel. The carbon content and low alloying of this shallow hardened steel makes it a very strong material that is not prone to brittleness. The ergonomic rubber handle allows for comfortable use throughout the day even when working in the roughest terrain.
