The Slant Tip Machete 21" from COLD STEEL is a highly functional work tool, with excellent strength properties, designed for extreme conditions. The machete comes complete with a Cor-Ex™ sheath.
Like the heavier version of the All Terrain Chopper Machete, Slant Tip Machetes are designed for sheer weight and chopping in any environment! The European style forward extending blade, gives the machete explosiveness when chopping. Moving the center of gravity forward makes the machete easier to chop, but it doesn't take away from its maneuverability when precise cuts are needed. The blade is made of 1055 carbon steel with an anti-corrosive black finish. Steel 1055 is a tool grade carbon steel. The carbon content and low alloying of this shallow hardened steel makes it a very strong material that is not prone to brittleness. The ergonomic polypropylene handle allows for comfortable use all day long, even when working in the roughest terrain. Machetes of the Slant Tip series are available in two blade sizes: 45 cm and 53 cm. Each also comes with a highly durable Cor-Ex™ sheath.
