The blade of the knife is made of Japanese SK-5 high-carbon steel, which is traditionally used to manufacture a wide range of hand tools, including chisels, wood saws, drills, etc. The steel is highly durable, holds its edge very well, and is highly resistant to abrasion. The blade is further treated with a Black Tuff-Ex™ anti-corrosion coating. This is a material similar to Teflon. The perfectly shaped knife handle made of Kraton (Long Kray-Ex™) offers a non-slip surface. It fits perfectly in the hand and allows for very delicate work with the knife in wet and muddy environments. The knife comes with a Secure-Ex sheath to protect you and the blade.
